Privacy Policy & Service Policies

Terms & Conditions

Refund Policy
Partial refunds are available if you are unsatisfied with your cleaning. Contact us within 24 hours of service to request a refund. Refund amounts will be determined based on the scope of work completed. Refunds will be processed back to the original payment method within 5–7 business days.

Payment Policy
Payment is required 2 business days prior to your scheduled cleaning. Unpaid bookings will be rescheduled or cancelled.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation is required at least 24 hours before service for a full refund. Cancellations within 24 hours will result in retention of 50% of the service fee. No-shows or same-day cancellations may forfeit 100% of the service fee.

Access Policy
Please ensure we have safe access to the property or provide door codes/lockbox instructions. Access must be provided within 30 minutes of arrival or the appointment may be cancelled or rescheduled at the client’s expense.

Pet Policy
All pets must be safely secured in another room or crate during cleaning.

Photo Consent
We take before-and-after photos of cleaned spaces for quality control, internal documentation, and marketing purposes. We will never post personal or identifying images of you, your family, or your belongings. By booking, you consent to this.

Safety Policy
We reserve the right to leave or terminate service immediately if there is danger, harassment, intimidation, or unsafe conditions. Refunds or rescheduling will be at our discretion.

Satisfaction Guarantee
If you’re not satisfied, contact us within 24 hours and we’ll address your concerns promptly.

Limitation of Liability
Local Neighborhood Helpers and its subcontractors are not liable for pre-existing damage, normal wear and tear, or items that break due to improper installation, age, or structural weakness. We are also not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from our services.

Customer Responsibilities
The client must ensure the property is safe, accessible, and free from hazards. Breakables, valuables, or irreplaceable items should be secured prior to service. Any special instructions must be provided in writing before the appointment.

Adjustments to Service Fee
If the property conditions differ significantly from the description provided (excessive clutter, debris, hazardous conditions, or dirtiness beyond normal expectations), Local Neighborhood Helpers reserves the right to adjust the service fee or complete only the booked scope of work without cleaning the excess dirtiness, or reschedule the appointment at the client’s expense.

Non-Solicitation of Staff
By booking, you agree not to directly hire, contract, or solicit Local Neighborhood Helpers’ subcontractors or employees for services outside of our company for a period of 12 months after your last service.

Payment Default
Failure to remit payment by the required date will result in cancellation or postponement of services and may incur additional fees or collection costs.

Service Scope
Services performed are limited to those listed in your booked package or add-ons. Any changes to scope must be approved in writing and may result in additional charges.

Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Michigan.

Agreement
By booking and signing, the client acknowledges they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and any linked policies.
